Robin trained with the Town Clerk and Chief Executive Officer of Luton County Borough Council and the County Secretary of Bedfordshire County Council. He qualified in 1977. He joined Hawkins & Co in 1981 and became a Partner in 1982. For many years he undertook a wide range of civil and criminal litigation, before specialising in Heath and Safety prosecution work. He is a member of the Health and Safety Lawyers Association.
